I remember the New Yorker hotel's sign was off for maintenance not long before I took this shot. Ironically, the tip of the Empire State Building's antenna wasn't lit, which is evident on this shot. It remained that way for almost a month! Did someone forgot to change the light bulb?

Here are some photos of the new addition to my family (will upload more). She was rescued from the streets by my sister and was given to my brother. Unfortunately, we haven't given her a name yet. I'm open to suggestion, and I might even post a pool if receive enough suggested names.
I'll provide information about her that might help with one's name suggestion: She's a bundle of energy that will run around for hours and even climb the bed sideways (Spider-Cat). She's very curious and adventurous up to the point of trying to sniff the whirlpool after I gave her a bath. She'll play rough the other cats. If they hit her, she'll back off for a minute, wait for an opening, and the cycle will continue. She has a nasty habit of stealing others' food when she's hungry (victims also include humans). As for human victims, the kitten's stare is the first attempt. Second attempt is begging. The final attempt is to jump on the table and steal. She has the nerve to even jump on one's lap and try eat from there. She'll eat anything, and this includes donuts (we're making sure she won't eat chocolate)! Either she's innocent, doesn't comprehend one's territory, or has guts to sleep anywhere she wants. She's very affectionate that she'll lick one's face and lips. She takes her cuteness to her advantage. Example: I played by chasing her and cornered her. Realizing she had nowhere to run, she walked up to me purring, licked my hand, then jump on my shoulder, and ran to resume to chase.
Ironically, she has a fear of banana peels. Long story short: she jump on my lap to steal my lunch. I tried to shoo her away, and I finished eating a banana and accidentally tried to sho her with the peel. She was curious at first, attacked the banana peel, felt the "sliminess", and ran away. Whenever she sees a banana peel (not a banana), she'll make the expression, "OMG! Cthulhu!" and run.

"There's talk on The Minor Planet Mailing List about a small asteroid approaching Earth with a 99.8% probability of colliding. The entrance to the Earth's atmosphere will take place October 7 at 0246 UTC (2:35 after this story goes live) over northern Sudan, releasing the energy of about a kiloton of TNT. The asteroid is assumed to be 3-4 meters in size; it is expected to burn up completely in the atmosphere, causing no harm. As a powerful bolide, it may put on quite a show in the sky. For those advanced enough in astronomy to observe, check the MPEC 2008-T50 and MPEC 2008-T64 circulars. NASA's JPL Small Body Database has a 3D orbit view. The story has been already picked up by CNN and NASA."
